ICBC Basic pricing is set by ICBC. What changes claim outcomes is whether your file is set up correctly before anything happens.
Drivers on the policy
Who actually drives the vehicle? A licensed advisor confirms household drivers and the principal operator — the two places where ICBC misrepresentation findings most often come up.
Vehicle use
Pleasure, commute distance, business use, rideshare — your rate class is part of your file. Wrong rate class is a known reason claims get reduced or denied.
Optional coverage

Can I renew my ICBC Autoplan over the phone in Surrey?
Yes. Most ICBC renewals are completed by phone in under 10 minutes with a licensed advisor at Prime Insurance. Call 604-582-0557 with your current insurance papers or plate number plus your driver's licence ready. We email or text your new pink slip the same day.
What do I need to have ready for my ICBC renewal?
Your current ICBC insurance papers (or your plate number), your BC driver's licence, and the licence numbers of any household members who drive the vehicle. If you're switching brokerages mid-policy or have had any tickets, claims, or address changes since last year, mention those too.
Are you open on Sundays and evenings?
Yes. Our Fleetwood Surrey office is open until 9 PM Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM Saturday, and 10 AM to 5:30 PM Sunday. We're also open the same Sunday hours on BC statutory holidays. Walk in or call 604-582-0557.
Can I renew ICBC at 8:30 AM before work?

What happens if I come in after hours or on a holiday?
On regular days we're open until 9 PM weeknights, 6:30 PM Saturday, and 5:30 PM Sunday and statutory holidays. Outside those hours, request a callback through the form above and a licensed advisor will call you the next time we're open — usually first thing the next morning.
How do I transfer my insurance from out-of-province to BC?
Bring (or scan and email) your previous insurer's letter of experience showing your at-fault claim history, your out-of-province driver's licence, and your vehicle registration. We'll handle the ICBC paperwork and process your BC Autoplan in the same visit. Allow 30–45 minutes for an out-of-province transfer.
What if my ICBC expires today and it's late?

Can I just renew online through ICBC instead?
ICBC's online renewal works for simple renewals with no changes. A licensed advisor reviews your driver list, vehicle use, and Optional coverage — the three places where Surrey drivers most often have setup mistakes that cause problems at claim time. The premium is the same either way; the difference is whether someone catches an error before ICBC pays out a claim.
