★ “Renewal is done in literally minutes over the phone.” — Seerat Rana, Google Review
Best for renewals due now, quick changes, or anyone who just wants it done right the first time.
ICBC request form.
Tell us a few quick things. We'll call you back from 604-582-0557 to finish what you need done.
Call before your renewal — not after a claim
Call now if
- Your renewal is coming up
- You just bought (or are buying) a vehicle
- Something changed in your household — new driver, new address
- How you use the vehicle changed — pleasure to commute, commute to business, personal to ride-hailing
- You’re not sure your setup is right
Why it matters
Most ICBC problems don’t show up until there’s a claim.
- Wrong principal driver → coverage denied
- Missing household driver → thousands billed back to ICBC
- Wrong vehicle use → claim complications
Fixing it before renewal takes minutes. After a claim, it doesn’t.
Why people call us for ICBC
- We catch setup mistakes before they become claim problems
- We tell you if something is wrong — not just renew it as-is
- We fix policies set up incorrectly elsewhere
- You talk to the same people year after year — not a rotating desk
If your renewal is due, calling is the fastest way to get it done right. We already have your file pulled up.
You don’t have to stay with your current broker
Your ICBC policy doesn’t change — only who handles it does. We take it over, review the setup, fix what’s wrong, and tell you what we found. The whole switch usually takes one phone call.
Most people switch to us after a claim went sideways somewhere else, a renewal was done online with no review, or they just want a setup check without waiting for renewal.
Call to switch — 604-582-0557Before we hit submit, we check these six things
This is the part that takes most of the 10 minutes. Online renewal skips every one of them.
| What we check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Principal driver | The wrong principal driver is treated by ICBC as material misrepresentation. Coverage can be denied at claim time. |
| Listed drivers | Household members and regular drivers must be on the policy. Unlisted Driver Protection does not cover them. |
| Vehicle use (rate class) | Pleasure, commute, business, delivery, and ride-hailing are different rate classes. Wrong class can void a claim. |
| Discounts you qualify for | Low-km, AEB, senior, experienced-driver, Persons with Disabilities. We check each one instead of assuming last year’s setup is still right. |
| Optional coverage | Extended Liability, Collision, Comprehensive, Loss of Use, Replacement Cost — sized to your vehicle and risk. |
| Online renewal eligibility | Some changes can’t be done online at all. We tell you up-front if you need to come in. |
What actually changes when you call the right team
Wrong deductibles, missing drivers, incorrect usage — we spot these before they matter.
You can call and speak to a licensed advisor — not a call centre.
Deductibles, listed drivers, vehicle usage — we correct what other brokers missed.
We know your file, so things get handled faster each time.
If your ICBC is due today, calling is still the fastest way to get it handled properly.
When online renewal is fine — and when it isn’t
ICBC’s online renewal works for a narrow set of policies. Most BC drivers have at least one detail that requires an advisor.
| Online renewal works for… | You need an advisor for… |
|---|---|
| Same vehicle, same use, same drivers | Adding or removing drivers |
| No coverage changes | Changing how the vehicle is used (pleasure to commute, commute to business) |
| Single personal owner | Transferring plates between vehicles |
| No ownership or lease changes | Adding or changing joint ownership |
| Current Optional coverage stays as-is | Adding new Optional coverages (Replacement Cost, Limited Depreciation, etc.) |
| No business, delivery, fleet, or ride-hailing involvement | Most company-owned or leased vehicles |
| You know exactly what you want | Anyone who wants the setup checked first |
The honest answer: if your situation hasn’t changed and you don’t want a review, online through ICBC works. If anything has shifted — or you’ve never had your setup checked — call us first. 604-582-0557. Most renewals take 10 minutes by phone.
We contact you up to five ways before your ICBC expires.
Most send one notice and move on. We don’t. Depending on the contact information we have on file, we send up to five touchpoints across four channels before your expiry — an email notice, a mailed reminder, a text message, plus two automated reminder calls — so your ICBC never lapses because nobody reminded you.
Contact details vary by client. Not every touchpoint applies to every renewal — but we use every channel available so nothing falls through the gap.
Every ICBC broker in Surrey charges the same. That is not the real decision.
The real decision is whether your policy gets set up correctly the first time — or whether you find out it wasn’t when you need to make a claim.
If you only want the fastest click, Surrey has plenty of options. If you want a licensed advisor who picks up the phone, explains what you’re getting, and is still there when something goes wrong — call Prime.

A few practical questions people ask before calling.
Are ICBC Autoplan rates the same at every broker?
Yes. Basic ICBC Autoplan rates are set by ICBC and are the same at every licensed broker in BC. The difference is how your insurance is explained, set up, and handled.
Can I renew my ICBC by phone?
Many renewals and common changes can be handled by phone. Call during office hours and we’ll tell you the fastest way to get it done.
Do I need an appointment?
No. You can call during office hours or walk into our Surrey office without an appointment.
What can Prime Insurance help with?
We help with ICBC Autoplan renewals, common changes, vehicle replacements, plate issues, and practical advisor guidance on your policy.
How long does an ICBC renewal take by phone?
Most renewals: 10 minutes flat. We pull up your policy, walk through any changes since last year, confirm coverage levels, take payment, and email you documents — usually before the call ends. New policies on a vehicle you just bought: about 15 minutes on average.
How early can I renew?
Up to 44 days before your policy expires. Earlier is better when possible — it gives us time to catch any setup issues before your current policy runs out. Last-day renewals work too, if you call during our hours.
What can’t be done online through ICBC?
Adding or removing drivers, changing rate class (pleasure to commute, commute to business, etc.), adding new Optional coverages, transferring plates between vehicles, joint-ownership changes, leased or company-owned vehicles, and most policy cancellations. If any of those apply, you need a licensed advisor.
Do I have to come into the office, or can it all be done by phone?
Most renewals are handled entirely by phone or email — documents land in your inbox the same day. Walk in if you prefer; evenings and Sundays are quietest. Some changes (signing physical forms for ownership transfers, for example) need an in-person visit, and we tell you up-front if that applies to you.
What if I’m renewing after-hours?
Use the callback form on this page. We’ll call back as soon as we open. We open at 8:30 AM Monday through Saturday and 10 AM Sunday — so unless you’re renewing very late on a Saturday night, the gap is short.
I already renewed online — can you still review my policy?
Yes. We can switch your file to us at any time, even mid-policy. We pull up your current setup, check for missed discounts, listed-driver errors, rate-class mismatches, and Optional coverage gaps — and fix anything that’s wrong. Your ICBC policy doesn’t change; only who manages it for you does. Call 604-582-0557 and we’ll review the setup over the phone.
