Policy change FAQ
Is my change in effect right away?
No. A policy change isn’t in effect until a licensed advisor confirms it with you in writing. Please keep your current coverage in place until then.
Will my premium change?
It might — many changes affect premium. We’ll tell you what to expect before anything is finalized, so there are no surprises.
How long does it take?
Most straightforward changes are handled within a business day or two. ICBC Autoplan changes can take a little longer if documents or a signature are needed.
Do I have to come in for an ICBC change?
For some changes, yes. In BC, buying or transferring a vehicle requires the APV9T Transfer/Tax Form and your signature in person, so that can’t be completed online. Other Autoplan changes may need original documents too. Send your request and we’ll prepare everything so your visit is quick.
Can I cancel a policy here?
You can request it — an advisor will confirm the process, any requirements, and the effective date before anything is cancelled.
