For BC Auto Dealers

On-site ICBC Autoplan — plates and transfers, done at your lot.

We come to your dealership and complete the ICBC Autoplan with the customer in front of us. New plates and ownership transfers on the spot — typically thirty minutes from Business Office sit-down to driving away.

How we work today

Twenty-five-plus dealerships. Thirty minutes sit-down to drive-away.

Most of the dealers we serve are five to fifteen minutes from our Surrey office. A few further ones run twenty-five minutes. Once your customer sits down with us at the dealership, the average transaction takes fifteen minutes — thirty at most, depending on whether it's their first time buying ICBC insurance or their tenth.

That means a customer who walks out of your Business Office can be driving off the lot, with new plates on their vehicle, in half an hour. The variation isn't us — it's the customer. Repeat buyers fly through. First-timers take a little longer because we're explaining things, not because we're stalling.

We're open Monday to Friday until 9:00 PM, Saturday until 6:30 PM, and Sunday until 5:30 PM. Many car deliveries happen evenings and weekends. So do we.

Common questions

On-site service questions dealers ask.

How quickly can you get to my lot?

Most of our dealer partners are five to fifteen minutes from our Surrey office at 150-8888 152A St. A few further ones run twenty-five minutes. We dispatch immediately when you call. Period.

How long does the actual transaction take once you're at the dealership?

Fifteen minutes on average from when the customer sits down with us. Thirty minutes maximum. The variation is the customer, not us — first-time ICBC buyers ask more questions, repeat buyers fly through. So total customer experience from Business Office sit-down to driving off the lot with new plates is typically thirty minutes.

What if my buyer can't come to the dealership in person?

We'll help you get the deal done — but not by faking the transfer. ICBC requires the buyer present with valid ID, and we will not bypass that.

What we do instead: we send the APV250 (Vehicle Registration) and APV9T (Transfer/Tax Form) with the vehicle. Your buyer completes the transfer at their own ICBC Autoplan brokerage. If the vehicle is being driven to the buyer, we issue an APV16 Temporary Operating Permit (TOP) by email so it's legal on the road during the trip. That part can happen remotely — no transfer of ownership is involved.

Your next delivery shouldn’t wait on plates.

Call Prime when the customer’s still in the Business Office. We dispatch immediately — most lots are five to fifteen minutes away — and have new plates on the vehicle in about half an hour.
